I would like to use my 502 as a sound source for a KAT KTMP1. The 502 has a USB "B" MIDI connector and the KTMP1 has both a USB "B" (in?) and 5 pin MIDI (Out) connector. Is this possible? If so, how can I accomplish this task? I would guess that I need to use a MIDI USB host of some sort (Kenton USB-MIDI?):

Yup as you mentioned you'll need to use a MIDI USB Host, e.g.

(assuming you don't want go via a PC - which could introduce loads of latency)

Your wiring looks right.
