Can my existing Roland CY-5 work with a yet to buy HH65?

Eventually may spring for RHH135 but wanted to see if I could go this route first.

This would be used mainly to work with Superior Drummer.

The HH65 can't see the pad so it makes no difference what pad you use. The issue is the support of the pad with the module. If you've plugged the pad into the DTX and it works, then all is well. (You'll only get one zone, though)

So would the PCY100 be the logical choice to pair up with the HH65?

Anything you like, really. The PCY100 + HH65 is a standard off-the-shelf configuration with the DTX522K kit, for example. I sometimes use a TP65 or TP65s pad....
