Hi!

I’m new to percussion hardware. The DTX-MULTI 12 seems to be perfect for my needs.
I’ve found a used unit priced at 450 CAD. Seller says it’s condition is 99% like new, used at home only.
(MRSP is 900, my local music store sells it 688 including tax)

I’d go test it and if I don’t see any problems, I’ll take it.

What do you suggest me to try to test the unit? What are the weak points of this device?

Thanks a lot!

No weak points to mention (unlike the SPDsx from Roland ;) ).

Just (obs) check all the pads are OK and respond well. Check headphones socket and main outs. Would be good to check the pedal sockets and the external pad sockets.

Thanks for the quick answer! Footswitch jacks is a good point.
I have keyboard sustain pedals — one that supports half-pedaling and one that is on-off only. Can I use one of these for testing the footswitch jack?

Yes, but you need to tell the DTX what you have connected. It's going to be pretty unlikely they'll be an issue with the jacks, though, unless it's been very mistreated!
