Resolved What are your thoughts on a Yamaha DTX700 or a similar e-kit?

Hi all. I am looking to upgrade my e-kit. Currently I have Traps E500 which I got secondhand for a couple hundred pounds about a year ago. It is OK for that price, but the toms are failing, it has no dynamics and the samples are pretty terrible. Pretty much just a toy. So I am looking to get a good instrument this time (jokes about e-kits aside ;). My budget is around £1500 or $2500 as I want to keep it for a few years, potentially until I can buy a house and a shed to put some acoustic drums in :)

I am leaning towards the Yamaha DTX700, but also considering the Roland TD15K(V). Without going into the silicone vs mesh head thing, what mid range kits would you guys recommend for that money?

I have a Traps A400 acoustic set converted to electronic. DTX 700 seems too professional and from my perspective is more suitable for massive set ups. I'd consider DTX 582K as it has a natural feel hi hat with stand included ,which is far better than standard cymbal pads, and has everything a drummer will need.
