I have a DTX500 with some upgrades, and a XP100SD snare.
The fabric of the snare head ust a couple days ago my entire snare, all of the triggers, stopped working.
The triggers didn't completely stop working, but played my snare sound all the time it was on, and if i hit it, very weak and inconsistent sounds would come out.
I have had this same kind of issue before, but adjusting the cable a little helped. So I did that, but it did not work work. So I switched the cable with another one that worked, but that didn't work either.
it is also not any of my settings, because I put my tom 1 cable in my snare and it still did not work. It's probably something with the trigger not working, or that a cable inside loosened up becuase of the vibration.
I'd rather not buy a new 350 euro snare again.
Does anyone know if this is an easy fix?
Can I fix the head? Beacause it doesn't seem like it.
If anyone has some tips I would love to hear them.

Adriaan,

It sounds like the input on your XP100SD is loose/damaged, especially knowing that you've tried different cables.

Also, because the 100SD has the tuning knob, that feature is really only compatible with the 700 Series up, unless you just prefer the feel of the 100SD with your 500 which I can understand, otherwise I'd suggest an XP80.

Where are you located Adriaan? I ask because I'm inquiring about shipment possiblities.

Thanks,

Jordan
