Hello all,

I have a dtxpress 4 special kit. Would a roland pm10 amp work with this kit. I am looking for an amp that will perfectly replicate the sounds u get with headphones. Any advice would be welcome.
Also what is the maximum number of pads the module will hold? I currently have the 3 zone snare, RHH135 hihat, and 3zone ride, 3 zone crash, kick with second single zone crash, single zone china, three toms and a fourth for a spash/4th tom, plus another spare tom pad which i would like to make a fifth tom if possible??

Another thing...what do you recommend for cleaning pcy135s etc and the tom pads. Mine are a bit sticky and dusty...

Sorry for all the questions ☺

Many thanks

Alvin

I have a PM10 with a DTXtreme 2, and it sounds great, perfectly replicates the headphones (except for the stereo image, of course).

    1. Roland amp will work. As to "perfectly replicate", well, that's subjective will depend on you. I have a Yamaha MS50DR and it's good. You may also find a full range PA setup is good. All down to budget and what you are trying to achieve and personal taste.

    2. Maximum pads? One for every input - 10 on that module I think. Unfortunately, I don't think that unit has MIDI IN :(

    3. Cleaning? Aerospace 303.
