Never in my life have I been so frustrated. I’ve literally wasted HOURS trying to get this system to perform even the simplest of tasks without success. I come to this site in the desperate hope I may find help. I’ll start with assigning a wav file to a selected pad.

I imported a wav file and assigned it to the P002:80s Electro Kit, but I’m having two major problems: 1) the assignment is erased when I turn power off and back on, and 2) when I strike the pad a second time to STOP the wav from playing, instead of it stopping, it starts a second instance of the wav file playing. The only way to stop it then is to power cycle!

Can someone PLEASE HELP!

    1. P kits are Preset-programmed kits. If you want to save it, you need to save to a U (User) kit

    2. Wave playback - you need select playback mode - oneshot or loop then change the playing mode to "hold". See the manual.

Thank you, David! And you’re right. Yamaha doesn’t give a flip about customer support. They put out this fantastically complicated piece of technology then, essentially, dare you to figure the thing out. The manual, imho, has GAPING holes in it, and there’s zero tech support. And they’ve apparently convinced themselves that their crappy app fills that gap... nonsense! One wonders why they bother to produce this pad. I’d love 5 minutes with the Nimrod that makes their decisions to give him or her a piece of my mind.

Any any rate, BLESS YOU for taking the time to reply to me. Yamaha should compensate you handsomely for your time and efforts!
