so about 9 mths ago I got the Yamaha dtx.it has an app on ios I pad. Called the DTX touch APP Anyhow. I had no connection issues for the last 8 mths with the app. Now as of 3 weeks ago my I pad will not connect to the DTX.I changed the usb connectors, the camera firewire adapter. and it connects for 1 min if i'm lucky then says "this ipad is not supported" I lost all my sounds for an entire show, and reset the ipad, and reset the DTX. No deal. I paid over a grand for this rig. And to say the least I am highly pissed. I am wondering if anyone else here has had this issue. And if so, did they get it fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't had that issue. How did you lose sound over the show? Are you not backing it all up directly to the DTX?

Any luck working this out? You should definitely change the title of the thread. It doesn't clearly ask your question. It's too general and it also sounds emotional. How about something like: "Connection issues with DTXM12 Touch iOS app."

You can also link to the pages + app: https://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical_instruments/drums/el_drums/apps/dtx_multi-12_touch/index.html

And here's a video to help people understand what you are talking about:

Good luck! That sounds terrible. If you get it worked out - fill us in. : )

Regarding connection and newer "USB Accessories" option in the iOS - my iPad must have updated and wouldn't connect. Turning Touch ID & Passcode > USB Accessories to On (green) - did the trick. : )
