so about 9 mths ago I got the Yamaha dtx.it has an app on ios I pad. Called the DTX touch APP Anyhow. I had no connection issues for the last 8 mths with the app. Now as of 3 weeks ago my I pad will not connect to the DTX.I changed the usb connectors, the camera firewire adapter. and it connects for 1 min if i'm lucky then says "this ipad is not supported" I lost all my sounds for an entire show, and reset the ipad, and reset the DTX. No deal. I paid over a grand for this rig. And to say the least I am highly pissed. I am wondering if anyone else here has had this issue. And if so, did they get it fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is a big bummer! Sorry to hear that. : /

I think that this has to do with an iOS update. They added a USB blocker option in the OS. Try turning USB back on.

As far as the app... I'm still a bit worried about this purchase myself... there seem to be loose ends - and I have to count on this device for live shows.

My goal was to use the app to access the finer points of the machine options - and then I shoot the info back to the M12 - so, iPad shouldn't really be needed to play - and your sounds should be safe that way. Do you think that way would work for you in the future?

/ however - I'm having a hard time getting more than the sounds and the trigger assignments to save to the machine after I turn it off. Those stay - but the velocity doesn't seem to save. - but I'm hoping that it's something I'm doing wrong - otherwise... even though this machine has a lot of bonus options over its competitors... it would all add up to a dealbreaker.

    I hope that helps!
