I need help setting up the hi-hat for Superior Drummer 3. First, the selections for Superior Drummer 3 e-drums for Yamaha are: DTXpress3, DTXplorer, DTX400, DTX502, DTX700 and DTX900. Which one should I select.

Second, I have the Yamaha RHH135 that I plugged in to the HH CTRL and to input 13 of the Multi-12. Is this correct? I can't get the closed hi-hat to open hi-hat sounds. I want to be able to use it like a real hi hat. I have the UTIL5-3 <HI_HAT> "SendHH=on". What am I doing wrong.

Superior Drummer 3 has a way to learn the certain velocities and openness and closeness of a hi-hat. All I'm getting is an open hi-hat sound.

Thanks, in advance, for any help!

Don't know about SD3 but would assume those are predefined maps for those modules. You'll need to check with them the best map to use ... unless someone out there has made one. I'd say the DTX700 is probably closest.

Re: the RHH135... What cables are you using to connect the controller and the pad? Also make sure your foot is not on the pedal when you power the unit up.

You may also need to change the offset...See here http://faq.yamaha.com/us/en/article/index/id/4136/?search_query=offset%20dtxm12¤t_page_id=1
