Born in Manhattan to musical parents, Iajhi (pronounced “E-Ahh-Gee”) has had music around him all of his life. Following in the footsteps of his father (Ivan Hampden) who has toured with Luther Vandross since 1987. He began playing drums at the age of ten in a North Carolina church behind his mother who served as the musical director for the church, while taking gigs in the area at 16, as soon as he was able to drive.
Rick Allen joined British rock band Def Leppard when he was 15 years old and by 16 was out touring the world. Less than four years later, Def Leppard released Pyromania which established them as a worldwide success and Rick as a young drum superstar. While on break from recording the band's followup record, Rick lost his left arm in a horrific car crash on New Year's Eve in 1984.
Marc is the Director of the School of Music at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and a Professor of Drumset and Music Business. He is also a very busy professional drummer and clinician with dozens of international concert dates and clinics throughout the year.  He has made concert appearances with a wide variety of artists, including jazz musicians Randy Brecker, Joey DeFrancesco, Jon Faddis, Robin Eubanks, Gerald Veasley; singers and entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and many more.
The “Metal Kit” extra content kit is available for free for registered DTX700 and DTX900 users and is comprised of an aggressively processed birch kit that will buzz saw through the wall of distorted guitars in today’s modern metal music.
The “Natural Jazz” extra content kit is available for free to registered DTX700 and DTX900 users and is Yamaha’s take on the1960’s Bebop sound. It starts by using a vintage maple kit with a copper snare and dark cymbals. The expressive toms (10” tom, 12” tom and
Yamaha’s flagship acoustic drum set; the PHX series was painstakingly sampled with set of Zildjian A Custom cymbals to bring you the quintessential acoustic-electronic drum sound.  This extra content is available from Yamaha MusicSoft as a free download for DTX900 and DTX700 Series kits.
Yamaha has a firmware update program that improves functionality of its digital instruments like the DTX-MULTI 12.  Yamaha further supports the MULTI 12 by providing extra content that adds new sounds and patterns to your instrument- all for free.
